Mackenzie's Story

I joined the CND OHT as a fourth year undergraduate student at McMaster University. Prior to working here, I knew I was interested in healthcare, however, I was missing the applied experience in health settings. During my time with the CND OHT, I was given the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects from branding and social media to policy review. This position enabled me to develop meaningful connections with community partners, and I have left here having a deep understanding of connected care. The CND OHT staff are breaking down siloed approaches to healthcare, inciting “big C” change at the systems level, and I couldn’t be more proud to have played a part in this.
